Dear Friends and Supporters,

Thank you!

As you probably know by now, the election did not go the way we had hoped. Our campaign finished second in a four-way race.

We knew our race would be hard-fought. We knew it would be a challenge to get voters' attention for a down-ballot race in this primary where voter turn-out was at an all-time low. We knew it would be tough running against two opponents who were already judges.

I am so proud of the campaign we ran. There were so many opportunities I was able to embrace and so many people I am grateful to have met. So many of you volunteered your time, support and energy to help me. It was inspiring.

Many of you have offered your support again in the future. I have not yet made any decisions about another election.

In the meantime, I will get back to my law practice and continue my work on the boards of the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Educational Center, Connections for the Homeless, the Wilmette Zoning Board of Appeals and others. I am looking forward to getting back to supervising the soup kitchen at Beth Emet.

With deepest gratitude,

Abbey Fishman Romanek
